 Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College Women's Lacrosse junior Eva Baumann has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office in a release on Tuesday morning.

Baumann showcased her defensive prowess in a 1-1 week for Haverford. In a hard-fought battle against Scranton, a team receiving votes in the latest national poll, the junior collected four ground balls and forced four turnovers in a narrow 11-10 defeat at the Royals.

During the 2023 campaign, the Brookline High School product earned First-team All-Centennial Conference and Second-team IWLCA All-Metro Region honors, marking a standout sophomore season for the Scarlet and Black, who reached the Centennial Conference semifinals.

Baumann is entering the 2024 season after an impressive sophomore campaign, during which she caused 23 turnovers and claimed a pair of draw controls. As a formidable presence in the back, the junior ranked in the top 10 in the conference for caused turnovers.
