Women's Lacrosse Enters ILWomen/IWLCA Poll at No. 25

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's lacrosse team entered the 2024 ILWomen/IWLCA Division III Poll today, checking in as the No. 25 team in the nation after upsetting then-No. 15 Christopher Newport on Saturday afternoon in Newport News, the Fords' first ranked win since defeating No. 22 Christopher Newport on March 9, 2022.

Haverford has compiled a 4-3 record to begin the 2024 season, with its only three defeats coming to No. 14 York, No. 24 Shenandoah, and Scranton, a team receiving votes in the latest poll. 

Middlebury (4-0) remains atop the rankings in Week 4 with 19 first-place votes. Following closely in second place is the unbeaten William Smith, with Tufts (4-0) securing the third spot. Gettysburg and Franklin &; Marshall complete the Top 5 rankings.

The Fords have been either ranked or receiving votes each week this season, and have been nationally ranked in three consecutive seasons dating back to the 2022 campaign.

The ILWomen/IWLCA Division II Poll will be unveiled Mondays throughout the season. It is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.

Women's Lacrosse will have a week off to prepare for conference play. The CC opener is scheduled for noon on Saturday, March 23, against Dickinson on Swan Field.
