Full IWLCA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's lacrosse team moved up in the ILWomen/IWLCA Division III Poll today, slotting in as the No. 23 team in the nation after a 13-11 comeback victory against Muhlenberg on Saturday.

The Fords entered the poll just two weeks ago, after taking down then-No. 15 Christopher Newport. The win was Haverford's first ranked win since defeating No. 22 Christopher Newport on March 9, 2022.

So far in the 2024 campaign, the Fords have put together a 6-3 record, with notable wins coming against Cabrini, Mary Washington, and then No. 15 Christopher Newport.

The top five in the rankings remain unchanged as Middlebury (8-0) still holds the top ranking, collecting 18 of the 20 first-place votes. William Smith (one first-place vote) and Tufts (one first-place vote) check in at two and three, while Salisbury (ranked fourth)  and Centennial Conference foe Franklin & Marshall (ranked fifth) round out the top-five in the April 1 National Poll.

The Fords have been either ranked or receiving votes each week this season, and have been nationally ranked in three consecutive seasons dating back to the 2022 campaign.

The ILWomen/IWLCA Division II Poll will be unveiled Mondays throughout the season. It is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.

Women's Lacrosse continues Centennial Conference play Wednesday, as Haverford welcomes the Shorewomen of Washington College to campus on Wednesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. The game will be part of the Centennial Conference's green-out games for Mental Health Awareness Week.
