Volleyball sweeps past Washington, 3-0

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The 25th-ranked Haverford College volleyball team defeated host Washington College, 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-16), in Centennial Conference volleyball action Wednesday evening. Haverford forced the Shorewomen into 20 attack errors and a .010 hitting percentage.

Haverford (23-3, 6-0 CC) was led by Rebecca Salvo's nine kills and five service aces in the win, while Kelsey Cantwell added six kills and four service aces. The Fords served up 13 aces in the match. Franny Glick, Cantwell and Caitlyn Tranquillo all had a team-best eight digs for the Fords.

For Washington (9-13, 0-7 CC), Traci Daelemans had 10 digs to lead all players. Caitlin Ward had 16 assists in the contest for the Shorewomen.

The Fords return home Saturday for a tri-match, hosting Dickinson College in a conference match at noon and Elizabethtown College at 4 p.m. Dickinson and Elizabethtown square off at 2 p.m.
