Cantwell adds all-region honor

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Haverford College volleyball senior Kelsey Cantwell was named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Honorable Mention All-Mid-Atlantic Region Thursday evening. Earlier in the week Cantwell received Centennial Conference Player of the year and first-team all-conference honors.

Cantwell is the sixth Haverford player since 2000 to be named all-region. This season she emerged as Haverford's primary hitter, leading the team with 3.11 kills per set while her 336 kills were second most in the Centennial. She had at least 10 kills in a match 23 times including each of her last nine, going for 17 and 16 once and 15 twice. She played a big role on defense as well, averaging 2.59 digs per set and reaching double-digits 12 times. The program leader with 219 service aces, Cantwell maintained that prowess with 48 this season.
