LANCASTER, Pa. – Jenine Abbassi of the Haverford College volleyball team was named Centennial Conference Player of the Week as announced by the league office Tuesday afternoon.

Abbassi led Haverford to a 3-0 week and its second consecutive regular-season conference title with 37 kills and eight blocks. She tallied a career-high 17 kills and hit .406 to help the Fords to a 3-1 win at Swarthmore Wednesday. In the regular season finale against McDaniel Saturday, Abbassi had 13 kills while hitting .417.

The Fords host the Centennial Conference championship this Saturday and Sunday at Gooding Arena. Haverford takes on the winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal match between No. 4 seed Swarthmore College and No. 5 Gettysburg College.
