ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Haverford College volleyball team remained undefeated in Centennial Conference play with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-15) victory over host Muhlenberg College Wednesday evening. The Fords hit a season-best .337 while holding Muhlenberg to just 12 kills.
Laura Ramos played a big part in Haverford's (7-9, 2-0 CC) offensive success. She ended the night with 14 kills and no errors for a .636 hitting percentage. Kelsey Cantwell joined Ramos in double-digits with 10 kills.
Cantwell led the Fords to victories in the second and third sets. Holding a 15-12 lead in the second, the Fords ran off the last 10 points with Cantwell serving. In the third, she tallied seven kills in 13 attempts (no errors).
Muhlenberg (2-13, 0-2 CC) did not have one individual with more than two kills. As a team the Mules hit just .054.
The Fords return home Thursday evening to take on Lebanon Valley College at 7 p.m. in a non-conference match.
