LANCASTER, Pa. – Three players from the Haverford College women's volleyball team have been named to the 2011 All-Centennial Conference teams, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

Sophomore setter Haley Lowrance earned first team honors, while senior hitter Laura Ramos was tabbed second team and fellow senior hitter Jenine Abbassi received an honorable mention nod.

Lowrance, in her all-conference debut, led the team in sets with 837, ranking her seventh among all conference setters.  Her 57 service aces was a team-high (and conference fifth-best) and she registered a squad second-highest 44 blocks on the year (placing her 10th in conference blocking).

Ramos, also a first-time honoree, led the team in kills with 322 and digs with 413.  She placed in the top ten in conference individual rankings for both categories (fifth in digs, seventh in kills).  She was consistently the team's best offensive performer, including a conference semifinal performance of 13 kills and 12 digs in which the Fords saw their season come to a 3-0 end at No. 1-seed Johns Hopkins University.

Abbassi led the Fords in 2011 with 66 blocks, along with a team second-best 192 kills. Her blocking numbers ranked the senior eighth in the conference in individual blocking rankings.
