Fords win season-best third straight with 3-0 win at Washington

CHESTERTOWN, Md.-  The Haverford College Fords won their third-straight contest en route to a 3-0 blanking of Washington College in Centennial Conference volleyball action Wednesday evening.

Haverford (13-12, 6-4 CC) posted winning scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 26-24. The Fords scored the final four points in the third set to complete the shut-out over the host Shorewomen (15-12, 1-8). 

Haverford's Laura Ramos led the Scarlet and Black with 14 kills and added a team-best 13 digs.  Haley Lowrance tallied 30 assists on the day, while Madison Fuelling, Jordan Scolaro and Sarah Brody each added 13 digs on the road. 

For Washington, both Alyssa Forget and Lauren Bell totaled team-high nine kills, while defensive efforts were headed by Bell with 16 digs. 

The Fords return to the hardwood on Saturday, Oct. 29 when they host a tri-match with Swarthmore College and Elizabethtown College beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Gooding Arena.
