Fords roll past Muhlenberg to stay unbeaten in Centennial play

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College volleyball team remained unbeaten in Centennial Conference play with a 3-0 victory over visiting Muhlenberg College Wednesday night.

The Fords (7-2, 2-0 CC) were in control throughout the contest in completing the three-game sweep (25-14, 25-20, 25-14) over the Mules (8-4, 1-1 CC). Leading the attack, freshman Keri Godbe tallied 10 kills as part of a sizzling offense that registered a .370 attack percentage in game one and .326 percentage overall. Nina Mutty and Meg O'Day chipped in with eight kills each while Olivia Walsh contributed 28 assists. Jordan Scolaro accounted for three of Haverford's season-high nine service aces.

Madison Fuelling and Mutty took team-high honors with nine digs apiece as part of a balanced defensive effort that held Muhlenberg to a mere .097 attack percentage overall. Sarah Brody and Godbe helped the cause with eight and seven, respectively. O'Day made her presence felt with three block assists and one solo block.

Katherine Boll paced the Mules with 12 kills. Lindsey Gambocurta and Chelsea Kaser shared game-high honors with 10 digs apiece.

Looking to continue their winning ways, the Fords head to New York City on Sept. 21 to take on North Park University as part of New York University's Violet Classic. The contest begins at 7 p.m.
