Fords cruise past Bryn Mawr, 3-0

BRYN MAWR, Pa. - The Haverford College volleyball team registered its second sweep of a Centennial Conference opponent in as many days with a 3-0 victory over host Bryn Mawr College Thursday night.

The Fords (20-8, 7-2 CC) captured their 20th win of the season in dominating fashion (25-11, 25-11, 25-14) as they trailed just once all night (1-0 in set one). Taking match-high honors with 14 kills, freshman Meg O'Day reached double figures in kills for the 17th time this season. O'Day also registered a .500 hitting percentage as Haverford finished with a .330 attack percentage overall. Olivia Walsh efficiently directed the offense with 34 assists while Jordan Scolaro matched her season-high with five service aces.

Nine Fords tallied at least one dig in the contest as Haverford held the Owls (7-19, 1-9) to just 11 total kills. Madison Fuelling led the team effort with eight digs while Jeanna Kenney chipped in with seven. Keri Godbe, Sarah Brody and Walsh added five digs apiece.

Hannah Rosebrock was active for Bryn Mawr with four kills and eight digs. Noemi Moreno paced the Owls' defense with nine digs.

The Fords head to Swarthmore College Saturday afternoon to close out the conference regular season with a 1 p.m. contest against the rival Garnet. The two squads currently sit in a tie for third place in the standings and the winner of the match will secure a first-round bye in the upcoming conference tournament.
