Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College volleyball team had seniors Meg O'Day (first team) and Keri Godbe (second team) selected to the All-Centennial Conference teams, the conference announced today. Senior Jeanna Kenney was also named to the conference's All-Sportsmanship team for the third time.

O'Day became just the sixth player in conference history to receive all-conference first team honors four times. She is one of three Fords to achieve the mark, joining Jen Constantino '04 and Rebecca Salvo '10. The senior placed second in the conference in attack percentage (.359), third in kills per set (3.60), third in kills (367) and sixth in total blocks (71). O'Day will graduate first all-time in attack percentage (.349), block assists (244), second in total blocks (337), third in points (1,841) and fourth in kills (1,533).

Godbe is a four-time member of the All-CC team, having made the first team (2013-14) and honorable mention (2012) during her career. The outside hitter was second among conference foes in kills (386), fifth in kills per set (3.48) and eighth in digs (400). The senior had 16 double-doubles including six-in-a-row to end the year. She is third in program history in kills (1,567), fourth in kills per set (3.54) and digs (1,608). Godbe has also made the Fall Academic Honor Roll three straight years.

Swarthmore's Sarah Wallace was picked as the conference's Player of the Year while her teammate, Sarah Girard received the Rookie of the Year honor. The Scholar-Athlete Award was bestowed upon McDaniel's Madeline Rose. Rose had the highest cumulative GPA among players on the All-Centennial teams. McDaniel's Jessica Wolverton was chosen as Coach of the Year.

Haverford finished the 2015 season with 20 wins before losing to McDaniel in the Centennial Conference final. It's only the second time that the team has won at least 20 matches in four straight seasons.
