HAVERFORD, Pa. – For the second straight year, senior Meg O'Day was selected the American Volleyball Coaches' Association (AVCA) All-America team. After being picked for the third team last season, O'Day received the honorable mention accolade this year.

O'Day is the fourth player in program history to be an AVCA All-American honors. Prior to the senior, Rebecca Salvo '10, Rachel Salvo '10 and Kate Comey '12 were awarded the honor after the 2009 season. O'Day and the Salvos are the only repeat winners.

Last week, O'Day was named to the AVCA All-North Regional team for the second straight season. Kelsey Cantwell '11, Mid-Atlantic Region honorable mention in 2010, was the last Fords' player to be named to the All-Regional team before the senior.

The 2015 season was stellar for the middle hitter as she became just the sixth player in Centennial Conference history to receive all-conference first team honors four times. She is one of three Fords to achieve the mark, joining Jen Constantino '04 and Rebecca Salvo '10. The senior placed second in the conference in attack percentage (.359), third in kills per set (3.60), third in kills (367) and sixth in total blocks (71).

O'Day will graduate first all-time in attack percentage (.349), block assists (244), second in total blocks (337), third in points (1,841) and fourth in kills (1,533). Her banner 2014 season is one of the greatest in program history as she set program record in total blocks while her attack percentage was the third-best and her kills ranked fifth.

Haverford finished the 2015 season with 20 wins before losing to McDaniel in the Centennial Conference final. It's only the second time that the team has won at least 20 matches in four straight seasons.
