Women's Volleyball Volunteers Time At South Philadelphia Youth Clinic

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Last Thursday evening, the Haverford College Women's Volleyball team volunteered its time to help teach a volleyball clinic with Philly Girls in Motion in the Pennssport neighborhood of Philadelphia. The clinic featured 30 girls from second to eighth grade who learned about volleyball fundamentals from members of the Haverford team.

Head Coach Drew Hargrave, Zoe Wong, Maddie Becker, Natalie Pisch, Sara Matsumura, Kendall Robison and alumna Jeanna Kenney '16 were on hand for the 90 minute clinic.

Philly Girls in Motion is a non-profit organization that engages girls and their families in activities that encourage fitness and nutrition. Founded in 2010, the program works closely with City of Philadelphia Recreation Centers and area schools to foster opportunities for girls in South Philadelphia neighborhoods.
