HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College volleyball program has announced its 2023 fall schedule, with 12 home matches slated for Gooding '84 Arena as part of a 23-match schedule.
All of the action begins on Friday, September 1 with the annual Haverford Invitational inside Gooding Arena as the Fords host matchups with Augsburg and Stockton (Sept. 1) ahead of battles with Coast Guard (Sept. 2) and Lebanon Valley (Sept. 2) in what is sure to be a thrilling start to the campaign.
The homestand continues with a tri-match against Messiah and Rutgers-Camden (Sep. 9) before tournament play continues on the road in "The Electric City" with a pair of matches in Scranton. The Fords face off with SUNY Cortland and Scranton (Sept. 16) in tournament play.
A trip to Eastern for matchups with the host eagles and Penn State Berks is on the docket for September 23, before September wraps up with home contests against Mary Washington (Sept. 27) and Dickinson (Sept. 30).
The month of October brings the thick of conference play, with a tri-match at Gettysburg first on the agenda (Oct. 7) as the Fords will also face off with DeSales. A road match at Washington College (Oct. 11) comes before a home showdown with Johns Hopkins (Oct. 14). Haverford makes the short trip to Bryn Mawr (Oct. 18) and heads to Franklin & Marshall (Oct. 21) before a midweek nightcap against Ursinus (Oct. 25).
The final road contest is at McDaniel on Saturday, October 28 before two home contests in November. Muhlenberg comes to Gooding Arena on November 1 before the Fords face off with Hood Trophy rival Swarthmore on November 4.
This year's edition of the Centennial Conference first-round contest is scheduled for Wednesday, November 8 ahead of semifinal action on November 10 and 12. All CC tournament action will take place at campus sites, with the higher seed hosting each round's matchup.
All Haverford home matches are streamed live via the Centennial Conference Digital Network. The digital network is also available to Centennial fans through a customized mobile app, online, and through CC streaming applications for Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Android TV and Roku devices.
