HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College rolled to a 173-152 cricket victory Sunday afternoon over visiting Merion Cricket Club. The partnership of Rushil Gambhir and Sameep Thapa contributed 105 runs during the victory.

The Fords batted first accumulating their 173 runs in 25 overs losing just four wickets. Along with Gambhir and Thapa's successful partnership, Brian Rafferty and Jesse Ingber contributed 50 runs.

Merion replied with 152 runs in the alloted 25 overs. Gambir bowled extremely well for Haverford taking six wickets for 31 runs. Alisa Strayer also bowled well for the Fords taking one run and 17 wickets.

The fall season concludes with a fixture at Philadelphia Cricket Club on Sunday, Oct. 2, starting at noon.
