HAVERFORD, Pa. – In Saturday's season opener for the Haverford College cricket team, the Fords rolled to a commanding 174-101 victory over host Merion Cricket Club.

Haverford batted first and scored 174 in 25 overs. Rushil Gambhir played Captain's inning and scored 68 runs and Sameep Thapa added 32 runs.

Merion mustered up only 101 runs in their 25 overs. Gahbhir, Neilay Shah and Brian Rafferty each took one wicket.

The Fords travel to Plymouth Meeting, Pa., on Saturday, April 14 for their next match against host Philadelphia Cricket Club.
