Keith Belson joins the Haverford College men’s lacrosse coaching staff as an assistant coach for the 2017 season. Belson has been heavily involved in coaching ever since his graduation from Saint Joseph’s University in 2011.

Belson most recently spent four years as the defensive coordinator for Marple Newtown High School. In this role, he was responsible for creating practice plans as well as organizing both team and individual strategies. Belson also spent time as the head coach for Duke’s Lacrosse Club in King of Prussia, Pa. where he was a talent evaluator for Duke’s Elite team.

From 2012-14, Belson served as the head coach of Team Philadelphia’s rising sophomore lacrosse team. In this role, he was named the coach of the year in 2013. Following his graduation from Saint Joseph’s, Belson got his start in coaching as an assistant at Strath Haven High School where he was responsible for practice plans and scouting reports.

While playing at Division I Saint Joseph’s University, Belson was a four-year starting long stick midfielder for the Hawks who earned Academic All-MAAC honors and was named to the Dean’s List. Belson graduated from Saint Joseph’s with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He currently teaches ninth and 10th grade English at Marple Newtown High School.
