Men's Squash Adds All-Academic Team Honors From Liberty League

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Liberty League office announced its 2023-24 winter academic teams on Thursday, with conference commissioner Tracy King making the announcement in a release this afternoon. 

In total, 83 winter sport student-athletes have qualified for the league's 2023-24 All-Academic Teams in their respective sports, marking the most for a winter season in the league's 28-year history. The previous high was 380 set in 2021-2022.

The winter championship sports, comprising men's and women's basketball, men's and women's squash, and men's and women's swimming and diving, are included. To be recognized as a member of the All-Academic team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.

In total, 10 members of the Haverford men's squash team earned the honor for the 2023-24 campaign, as Zadoc Bond (Easton, Md.), Garret Fantini (Greenwich, Conn.), Aaryaman Jaising (Mumbai, India), Peter Lehv (New York, N.Y.), Ali Nurkhaidarov (Hagerstown, Md.), Ted Pyle (Chestnut Hill, Mass.), Ben Schiltz (Wilmington, Del.), Kai Schinaman (Tokyo, Japan), Matt Sullivan (Towson, Md.), and Noah Tunis (Baltimore, Md.) all earned the honor.

In its inaugural season in the Liberty League, Haverford had the most honorees of any conference school. Haverford joined the Liberty League as associate members for men's squash beginning with the 2023-24 season.
