Men’s tennis handles Devils, 8-1

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team returned home to defeat the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP), 8-1, Wednesday afternoon at Bramall Courts. Haverford took two points in doubles and swept through singles in straight sets.

Kevin Caulfield and Natty Sergay downed William Fine and Francisco Garcia, 8-5, at No. 1 doubles. Matthew Cebul and Danny Himelstein scored the Fords' other doubles point at No. 2 with an 8-2 win.

In singles action, Caulfield, Hailiu Yang, Ankur Arya, Mike Gelberg, Jacob Weisenthal and Nathan Karnovsky were victorious at the Nos. 1-6 positions, respectively.

The win improves Haverford to 3-1 on the season.

The Fords will be off until Saturday, Mar. 27 when they travel to Franklin & Marshall College to open the Centennial Conference schedule.
