Men's tennis remains unbeaten in conference after win over Washington

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College's men's tennis team remained unbeaten in Centennial Conference action with Tuesday afternoon's, 6-3, victory in Alumni Field House over visiting Washington College.

Haverford (3-5, 3-0 CC) picked up wins in the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles slots to head into singles play with a 2-1 lead over the Shoremen (3-3, 1-1).

Kevin Caulfield won in straight sets at No. 1, as did Andy Dougherty at No. 3, Matt Romei at No. 5 and Jacob Weisenthal at No. 6 to clinch the victory.

With the doubles pairings of Matt Cebul and Natty Sergay at No. 2 and Will Garrett and Hailiu Yang at No. 3 both triumphant, the winning points for Haverford came from eight different Fords.

The men are back in action Thursday when The College of New Jersey comes to Haverford for a non-conference match beginning at 3:30 p.m.
