BALTIMORE, Md. – The Haverford College men's tennis team had its season come to a close with a 5-0 loss to 13th-ranked Johns Hopkins University in a Centennial Conference tournament semifinal Saturday.
The Blue Jays (17-3) jumped out to a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches. The wins put Johns Hopkins just two points away from a trip to Sunday's conference final.
In singles, Johns Hopkins secured the match by claiming victories in the No. 4 and No. 5 flights. Both wins came in straight sets.
Haverford ends the season at 9-10 overall.
