ITA Regional Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team is ranked No. 17 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic South Region rankings. The Fords have won six straight matches and will be looking for two more this weekend.

The team is currently 1-0 in Centennial Conference action following an 8-1 win against Gettysburg and will travel to McDaniel on Saturday at 12 p.m. The Fords will be split up for that competition as Rutgers-Camden will also come to campus on Saturday for a 1 p.m. scheduled start.

One of Haverford's wins during its recent run of success was a 6-3 victory against Wilkes, a team ranked just behind the Fords in the latest regional release. Haverford also has a pair of wins against Division I competition in Sacred Heart and La Salle. The Fords' most recent win came against Division II University of the Sciences.

The Fords already have five different players with at least five singles victories dating back to the fall. Josh Moskovitz is currently unbeaten in the spring dual season with a 7-0 mark, seeing the bulk of his action coming at No. 3. Seniors Harrison Elbert and Zack Mason also have six wins on the season, while classmate Luis Acaba has five wins overall – including a 4-1 record this spring at No. 1. Ishaan Prinz also has five wins on the year.

In doubles play, the returning all-conference pairing of Elbert and Acaba has won five straight matches. Dais Nakayama and Moskovitz have teamed up for two of Haverford's three wins at No. 2 doubles, while also winning one match in the top position. Four different pairings have recorded a win at No. 3 doubles. Nick Sweeney and Prinz are the most successful of that bunch with two wins together.
