BALTIMORE – Josh Moskovitz continued his undefeated spring singles season with a win at No. 2 singles against No. 28 Johns Hopkins on Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately for the Fords (11-2, 5-1 CC), that win would be the team's only point of the afternoon during an 8-1 setback at the hands of the nationally-ranked Blue Jays (9-4, 5-1 CC).

Although today's results snapped an 11 match winning streak from Haverford, Moskovitz rolled to his 10th straight win. Haverford's freshman continued his stretch of straight set victories as he took down Scott Thygesen on Saturday by a 6-3, 6-0 score. Since a three-set win against TCNJ to start the spring, each of Moskovitz's last nine victories have come in straight sets.

In doubles action, Moskovitz was involved in the tightest match. Playing at No. 2 alongside Dais Nakayama, the Fords' middle pairing won five games before falling by an 8-5 score. Haverford's No. 1 all-conference pairing of Harrison Elbert and Luis Acaba fell to the No. 6 doubles team in the Mid-Atlantic rankings by an 8-3 score.

Eli Phelps almost made it two wins for Haverford in singles, but he was edged out by two close scores at the No. 6 position. Phelps dropped his opening set by a 6-4 margin. He evenly split the first twelve games of the second set before falling in the tiebreak by a 7-4 score. Nakayama also forced extra games in his first set at No. 1 singles before being edged out in the final game.

Men's tennis will now have a full week to prepare for another nationally-ranked team as No. 29 Franklin & Marshall comes to campus next Saturday, April 23 for a 1 p.m. match.
