HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team rolled to its second straight 9-0 victory on Tuesday with its latest win coming against Muhlenberg. The Fords (4-6, 2-0 CC) have now won all 18 of their Centennial Conference singles and doubles matches in the early part of the conference slate. That record has Haverford in first place as the only unbeaten school with two matches in conference action.

Haverford set the tone early in doubles with a pair of 8-0 blankings in the second and third positions. The first match to finish up with an 8-0 victory was No. 3 doubles as Benjamin Soloway appeared in his first match this season in the starting lineup. He teamed up with Kevin Yan for the convincing victory. In the middle doubles match, rookies Arnav Patodia and Rob Kresch continued to impress with their fourth straight win together. That pairing is now 6-1 dating back to the fall with a perfect 4-0 record this spring.

The tightest match of the doubles competition came at the No. 1 position. Josh Moskovitz and Dais Nakayama never trailed but found themselves up just 5-4 and continuing to trade games back and forth. When Haverford's No. 1 duo finally got a break of service, it came in a stretch of three straight games won with Moskovitz and Nakayama evening their record at 4-4 in the top doubles matchup this spring.

In singles, the Fords allowed just 15 combined games across their six straight-set victories. In the first wave of matches to hit the indoor courts, Moskovitz and Yan each allowed just one game. Moskovitz was a 6-1, 6-0 winner in the top singles match, moving to 5-3 on the year while tying for the team lead with six singles wins. Yan reversed those scores in a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles for his second win of the year at that position.

Ishaan Prinz also recorded his sixth singles win of the year to tie for the team lead. The Fords' co-captain was a 6-2, 6-1 winner in the fourth singles match. His fellow co-captain, Nakayama, won 6-3, 6-2 at the No. 2 position. Nakayama evened his record for the season at 5-5. He has three wins at No. 2 singles this spring.

Raja Arul and Nick Sweeney were the final two matches to hit the courts. Even with the team score decided, their matches went a full two sets. Arul allowed just two games in the opening set to his opponent at No. 5 singles and improved to 3-1 during singles play in team duals this spring. Sweeney conceded just two games in the opening set and one game in his second set, notching his third consecutive win of the spring.

Men's tennis will now have the upcoming weekend away from competition. The Fords return to the courts next Wednesday in Chestertown, Md. for a meeting with Washington College. That match will get underway at 4 p.m.
