HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team held its position as the 10th ranked team in the ITA's Atlantic South Region during the latest rankings release. The Fords (7-6, 5-0 CC) are one of just three unbeaten teams remaining in Centennial Conference action and have now won five straight matches overall.

The Centennial Conference currently has six teams ranked in the top 20 of the region. The Fords already own victories over No. 13 Franklin & Marshall (won 6-3), No. 15 Ursinus (won 9-0) and No. 20 Washington College (won 5-4). The only other unbeaten teams in conference action are the two teams the Fords have not faced this season: No. 5 Johns Hopkins and No. 7 Swarthmore.

Haverford is 6-1 overall against teams in its own region so far. Four of the Fords' six defeats have come against teams that are ranked in the ITA National Poll. The Fords are currently sitting just outside of the national rankings as regional No. 9 Christopher Newport is ranked 33rd in the national poll.

In both singles and doubles, Haverford's individuals also kept their place among the top players in the region. Josh Moskovitz checks in at No. 20 in this week's rankings. Moskovitz is currently 7-4 this spring at the No. 1 singles position and 8-5 overall dating back to the fall. He has won two straight matches with all but one of his singles victories this spring coming in straight sets.

The Fords' No. 1 pairing of Dais Nakayama and Moskovitz is ranked No. 14 in the region this week. Haverford's top duo is 6-5 together this spring against the opposition's top doubles team. The duo's record together includes a 3-1 mark against Centennial Conference competition. A tough defeat against Franklin & Marshall snapped a five-match winning streak for the pairing, but they have since bounced back with a dominant 8-1 win against Ursinus on Tuesday.

Men's tennis will next battle one of those remaining unbeaten conference foes as the team travels to Baltimore on Saturday for a matchup with Johns Hopkins. The Blue Jays are currently the No. 21 team in the national rankings. That match will get underway at 11 a.m.
