HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team debuted at No. 12 in the first complete Atlantic South Regional rankings which were announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) this week. Haverford has started the season 6-2 and is currently riding a three-match winning streak, including back-to-back Centennial Conference victories.

The Fords' current position is one spot higher than they finished the 2016-17 campaign. Haverford's only setbacks so far have come against nationally-ranked New York University and Millsaps. The Fords have been dominant in doubles with a .792 winning percentage across all three spots in that lineup, boasting a team-best 7-1 record at No. 2 doubles and a 6-2 record in the first and third slots of the lineup. Kevin Yan currently leads all Fords with seven wins in doubles dating back to the fall. The reigning CC Rookie of the Year is 6-1 this spring in doubles matches.

Haverford has been nearly as impressive in singles, winning nearly two-thirds of its matches. The Fords are a perfect 7-0 at No. 6 singles and have a winning record this spring in five of the slots in the lineup. David Kong has seen the most time at No. 6 singles and is a perfect 11-0 dating back to the fall. Rob Kresch and Ishaan Prinz also have five singles victories dating back to the fall season.

Men's tennis will certainly have plenty of chances to bolster its ranking in the coming weeks as the Fords have four nationally-ranked opponents remaining on the regular season schedule. That tough opposition includes this weekend's home matches against No. 20 Case Western Reserve (Friday, 4 p.m.) and No. 19 Kenyon (Saturday, 9 a.m.).
