Men's Tennis Pulls in ITA Academic Awards

ITA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – For the 19th straight season, the Haverford College men's tennis team was recognized with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic award. The Fords also had 12 student-athletes recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes. Those 12 ITA Scholar-Athletes tied for the fourth-highest total in Division III as just three other schools had 13 scholar-athletes.

In order to earn the ITA All-Academic Award, teams must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 to receive the honor. The Fords have accomplished that feat every year since 2001. To be a scholar-athlete, players must be a varsity letter winner and have at least a 3.50 grade point average.

The 12 student-athletes to garner ITA Scholar-Athlete status were: Adam Branovan, Matthew Danielson, George Jiang, Patrick Kley, Scott Kozarsky, Pranav Krishnan, Andrew Linden, Josh Moskovitz, Arnav Patodia, Nick Sweeney, Jackson Trevor, and Kevin Yan.

Adding to Haverford's success on the classroom was the team's play on the court. Men's tennis finished the year ranked No. 12 as a team in the final Atlantic South Rankings. The Fords have now made the Centennial Conference Tournament in nine straight seasons and 13 of 14 years since the tournament's inception in 2006. The team's 13 dual victories this spring was just one shy of tying the school record which was previously set in 1994.
