HAVERFORD, Pa. – Senior David Roza was named the Centennial Conference Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after recording the best 3,000m time (8:39.27) for the Fords during the Princeton Invitational on Saturday afternoon.

The senior finished fourth out of 30 in a field that featured many Division I runners. He finished with the second best non-Division I time and the 13th best time in Division III this season.

Several other Fords' runners set personal milestones during the 3,000m event. Senior Joel Christian set a personal best (8:45.65), beating his previous mark by almost three seconds, also posting the 28th best time in Division III. Junior Nicholas Gandolfo-Lucia recorded his career best in the event by nine seconds with an 8:51.57. Sophomores Charlie Hale (9:01.03) and Evan Hamilton (9:09.35) also reached personal milestones in the 3,000m.

Roza has had a banner junior campaign. During the cross country season, he paced the Fords with a personal best time in the NCAA Championship. He also was an All-Mideast Regional runner and was All-Centennial Conference first team after finishing second in the conference championship behind his teammate junior Charlie Marquardt.

Head coach Tom Donnelly's squad is back on the track on Saturday at the Tufts Invitational (Jan. 31).
