Men's track participates in TCNJ Invite

EWING, N.J. - Several members of the Haverford College men's track & field team closed out the regular season by participating in the Lions' Invitational hosted by The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) on Saturday afternoon.

Gibby Graves had a standout day with three top-10 finishes. Graves placed fifth in the high jump with a career-best mark of 1.95 meters (6 feet, 4.75 inches). The junior improved his second-place standing on the Centennial Conference performance list with the effort.

Graves also now sits in second on the conference performance list in the triple jump as he reached a season-best distance of 13.38 meters (43-10.75) which was good for sixth place on Saturday.

Graves' busy afternoon included a 10th-place finish in the long jump with a mark of 6.31 meters (20-8.50).

Robert Parry delivered a season-best distance in the shot put. The sophomore's mark of 12.20 meters (40-0.50) currently ranks eighth among conference performances this season.

The Fords eye their third straight conference title when the Centennial championship meet begins on Friday at Swarthmore College.
