Herrick-Reynolds tabbed for weekly Centennial defensive honor

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference released their weekly honors Monday afternoon and Haverford College goalkeeper Kayleigh Herrick-Reynolds nabbed the Defensive Player of the Week award in women's soccer.

Over the past week Herrick-Reynolds was in between the pipes for 200 minutes without allowing a goal, making a combined eight saves in two games to post her ninth and 10th shutouts of the season.

Over the past seven games -- including a 3-0 shutout of No. 20 Swarthmore College -- the Chevy Chase, Md., native allowed just one goal (in a 2-1 Haverford win) and for the season is posting an .817 save percentage and 0.74 goals against average.

The Fords (12-2-3 overall) finished third in the league standings with a 7-2-1 mark earning an opening round bye and automatic spot in the semifinals of the Centennial postseason tournament.

Haverford will take on Johns Hopkins, ranked 13th in the most recent National Soccer Coaches Association of America national poll, at 4 p.m. Saturday afternoon in Allentown, Pa., in a semifinal match hosted by top seed Muhlenberg College.
