Season Review: Memorable year for women's soccer

Season Review: Memorable year for women's soccer

Signature wins: Senior Meg Boyer scored the only goal of the home contest against rival Swarthmore College on October 26. A huge save by Robin Chernow in the 37th minute and Boyer's subsequent game-winner in the 75th minute clinched the Fords' seventh straight appearance in the Centennial Conference tournament.

In the conference semifinals, two overtimes could not determine a winner between the Fords and Gettysburg College to decide who would be moving on to the conference championship game. Chernow once again loomed large as she made the biggest stop of the day on Bullets' leading scorer Georgia Ferguson during the ensuing penalty kick rounds. Kristin Hasselgren then made the most of the opportunity to send Haverford into the next round as she blasted her shot into the top, left corner of the goal to close out the nearly three-hour contest.
