Women's Soccer Unveils 2023 Schedule with Nine Home Matches at Walton Field

Full 2023 Schedule

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's soccer team has unveiled its 2023 fall slate, with 17 total matches, including nine home dates at Walton Field, dotting the landscape this September and October. The Fords are eager to return to the postseason for the first time since 2019, when the squad made a run to the NCAA tournament.

The regular season slate begins in earnest with the annual Haverford Kick-Off Classic as the Fords welcome in a pair of formidable foes, Arcadia (Sept. 2) and TCNJ (Sept. 3), to Walton Field. The tournament field also includes 2022 national quarterfinalist William Smith, as the Herons come to campus with the No. 7 national ranking.

The homestand continues with a weekday matinee against Alvernia (Sept. 6) before three consecutive non-conference matchups against foes from Pennsylvania. The Fords travel to DeSales (Sept. 9) and Widener (Sept. 13) before hosting Lebanon Valley (Sept. 16). The Centennial Conference portion of the schedule opens on Sept. 20 at Franklin & Marshall, before Haverford returns home to do battle with Gettysburg (Sept. 23). A quick jaunt up to Immaculata (Sept. 26) serves as a prelude to the September finale at Dickinson (Sept. 30).

October opens with the Fords hosting the annual "Play with Pride" game in conjunction with the Play With Pride club and the Athletics department, as the Fords host Muhlenberg for that contest (Oct. 4) ahead of a road trip to Washington College (Oct. 7). Consecutive home matches against conference competition in Ursinus (Oct. 11) and McDaniel (Oct. 14) is then followed by a trip to reigning national champions Johns Hopkins (Oct. 21).

The regular season ends with a pair of Tri-Co meetings, as the Fords head to Bryn Mawr (Oct. 24) before hosting Swarthmore on Senior Day in a Hood Trophy clash (Oct. 28). The Centennial Conference postseason begins on Halloween (Oct. 31) with FIrst Round action, before semifinals (Nov. 3) and the championship game (Nov. 5) at the site of the higher seed in each matchup.

All Haverford home games are streamed live via the Centennial Conference Digital Network. The digital network is also available to Centennial fans through a customized mobile app, online, and through CC streaming applications for Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Android TV and Roku devices.
