Koger adds more honors to already lengthy list

Haverford College head women's tennis coach Ann Koger has been selected as a member of the Black Tennis Hall of Fame Class of 2010.

The induction class includes Rodney Harmon, Leslie Allen and Oscar Johnson in addition to Koger.

The only women's tennis coach the program at Haverford has ever known, Koger has compiled a 294-195 record over 29 seasons in leading the Fords.

In addition to her Black Tennis Hall of Fame honor, Koger will also be one of four honorees at the Philadelphia Association of Black Sports and Culture, Inc.'s Annual Recognition Banquet held Sunday, Sept. 26.

Koger's honors follow the June announcement of her inclusion in the United States Tennis Association Middle States Hall of Fame Class of 2010 which will be inducted in a November ceremony at Citizen's Bank Park.
