HAVERFORD, Pa. – Greta Koch has been named the Centennial Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Week as announced by conference officials. Koch went a perfect 4-0 during the week with 2-0 records during both singles and doubles play.

Koch started off her week by contributing to a pair of points in Haverford's 7-2 win over Swarthmore. That victory clinched a home date for the Fords in the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament. Koch's doubles victory came at No. 2 with Jessica Liu. The Fords' middle pairing was an 8-5 winner over its counterparts from the rival Garnet. Koch also picked up a 10-point tiebreaker win at No. 2 singles with a 6-3, 6-7 (5), 1-0 (8), victory that same day.

Closing out the regular season at Gettysburg, Koch helped the Fords to a 9-0 sweep against the Bullets. In doubles, Liu and Koch conceded just two games to their Gettysburg counterparts. In singles, Koch allowed just one game in the second set during her 6-0, 6-1 win.

Koch's latest victories make the Haverford freshman 14-3 overall on the year in singles. That record includes a 6-1 record in Centennial Conference matches. During doubles competition, Koch has combined to go 11-7 overall with a 5-2 record in conference matches.

Women's tennis won 14 matches during the regular season, the program's most victories since the 1999 campaign. However, the Fords can build on that total with the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament. The fourth-seeded Fords will host fifth-seeded Ursinus this Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the conference's first round match. The conference semifinals and finals are slated for Saturday and Sunday.
