Himelstein Named First-Team All-CC in Singles

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Robyn Himelstein was named a first-team All-Centennial Conference singles player as announced by conference officials. The lone senior on the women's tennis team was also recognized on the Centennial Conference's All-Sportsmanship Team.

Himelstein's latest honor marks the second time in her career she has been first-team all-conference in singles. She earned that same distinction following her sophomore season. Additionally, Himelstein was a two-time all-conference performer in doubles throughout her career.

The Fords' No. 1 singles player won a team-best 13 singles matches this season. That record included nine of her 10 dual match wins this spring that came in the top position on the lineup. Himelstein went 6-4 against her Centennial Conference competition and finished her career on a two-match winning streak. Cementing her position as the No. 1 singles player in the lineup following the Spring Break trip, Himelstein was a perfect 3-0 in matches that went to a decisive third set this spring.

Women's tennis won seven matches this spring with a young lineup. Those victories included four wins against Centennial Conference competition. The team also showed great promise for the future is it topped Gettysburg by an 8-1 score on Senior Day to send Himelstein out on a winning note.
