Women's Tennis Ranked No. 13 in Latest Atlantic South Region Release

ITA Regional Rankings

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's tennis team came in at No. 13 during the latest ITA Atlantic South Regional Rankings which were released this week. The Fords made their season debut at No. 12 two weeks ago and are currently 8-7 overall with a 6-3 record against Centennial Conference competition this season.

Haverford's conference record has already qualified the team for the Centennial Conference Tournament for the eighth time in the past nine seasons. The Fords have also eclipsed their win total from a season ago with the regular season finale set for this Saturday.

The Fords currently have two wins against regionally-ranked opposition this spring with 5-4 victories over Oglethorpe and Washington College. Haverford is one of five teams in the Centennial Conference currently ranked in the region as it joins Johns Hopkins (No. 4), Swarthmore (No. 8), Franklin & Marshall (No. 11), and Washington College (No. 15).

Women's tennis will close out the regular season this Saturday with a home match against Gettysburg that is set to get underway at 12 p.m. on the Marshall Tennis Courts. The Fords have already punched their ticket to the Centennial Conference Tournament but can earn the right to host the first round match next week with a victory over the Bullets.
