FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Haverford College women's tennis team wrapped up play at the ITA Southeast Regional on Sunday afternoon. The Fords had four singles players left in the draws after Saturday's results.

Jia-Ling Tuan was the final Haverford player alive in a championship bracket of the respective draws. After two wins on Saturday in the Blue 4 singles draw, Tuan saw her run in the tournament come to an end in a 10-point tiebreak that extended beyond the 10 points. Winning the first set by a 6-3 score, the senior fell in the second. She was then edged out in the tiebreak by a 12-10 score to the eventual runner-up in that draw.

The Fords also had three players playing consolation round action after dropping matches during the Round of 64 in championship singles. Emily Shutman came the closest to recording a win as she was edged out by a 9-7 score in the eight-game super set. Jane Bary collected four games off of her opponent from Christopher Newport while Greta Koch was upended by the No. 9 seed who was upset to start Saturday's singles action.

Women's tennis will host its Alumnae Match in two weeks as a capstone to the fall season. That match is scheduled for Saturday, October 7 with the friendly competition getting underway at 1 p.m.
