HAVERFORD, Pa. – Julia Gan moved up two spots to No. 21 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic South singles rankings while the Fords remained the 11th ranked team in the region during the latest release.

Haverford is currently 11-3 this season with a 7-2 record in Centennial Conference matches. The Fords have clinched the No. 3 seed for the upcoming Centennial Conference Tournament with the final weekend of the regular season still to be played. The Fords have won just under 85 percent of their matches during their team victories and have regionally-ranked victories over Centennial Conference foes Franklin & Marshall and Washington College.

In singles, Gan holds an 8-7 overall record this year, playing exclusively at No. 1 singles in the lineup. Each of her last seven victories have come in straight sets, including three matches during which she did not concede a single game to her opponent. One of those victories came against Muhlenberg while she also holds another Centennial Conference singles victory against Swarthmore.

Women's tennis will wrap up its regular season this Saturday with a trip to Gettysburg. First serves in that match are scheduled for 1 p.m. The Fords will begin their postseason journey against the loser of Swarthmore and Johns Hopkins during the Centennial Conference semifinals next Saturday, May 6. Haverford will be making its ninth postseason appearance in the last 10 years. The Fords have already clinched their spot in the Centennial Conference semifinals for the eighth time in program history.
