Full 2024 Schedule

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College Women's tennis team has revealed their 2024 spring schedule, following a 11-8 2023 season that saw then sophomore Ellie Esterowitz reach the NCAA Division III Singles Championship tournament, the second consecutive season a Haverford player made a trip to the NCAA tournament as an individual entrant.

Guiding the Fords in their 2024 journey will be head coach John Taft, who will be entering his fifth season for Haverford.

The Fords hit the courts beginning on March 2, as they head to Allentown, Pa. to open up Centennial Conference play against the Mules of Muhlenberg, before heading down to sunny Florida for the annual Spring Break Trip, with specific matchups to be announced.

Returning from Florida, the Fords continue their 2024 campaign on the road, making stops at Mary Washington on March 29, and Christopher Newport on March 30, before finally heading back to the familiar confides of Haverford for their home-opening match against TCNJ on April 2nd. The match will also serve as the official Play with Pride Match for the 2024 season, and will begin a three- match homestand.

Centennial Conference opponents Ursinus (April 3) and Gettysburg (April 6) make quick stops to the Bettye Marshall and Norman B. Bramall Tennis Courts, before the Scarlet and Black trek up the road to Bryn Mawr for a mid-week meeting with the Owls on April 9.

The Back-to-back Centennial Conference champion Blue Jays of Johns Hopkins flock into Haverford for a Saturday morning clash with the Fords, before Haverford hits the road to spar with Hood Trophy rival Swarthmore on April 17.

The Scarlet and Black host Franklin & Marshall on April 20, with first serve scheduled for noon. The match will conclude the home portion of the 2024 spring season, as the Fords will cap off the 2024 regular season with matches at Washington College (April 23) and Dickinson (April 27).

Haverford has qualified for the Centennial Conference tournament 12 out of the last 13 years, and has hopes to make it 13 out of the last 14, when the tournament begins on April 30. The semifinals of the tournament take place on May 2, while the championship match is set for May 4.
