HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College women's tennis team received votes in the initial release of the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III Women's Tennis Coaches Poll, the organization disclosed on Tuesday afternoon.

Having qualified for the Centennial Conference tournament in 12 of the last 13 years, Haverford aspires to extend the streak to 13 out of the last 14 in 2024.

In the 2023 season, Haverford reached the CC semifinals, ultimately conceding to No. 23 Swarthmore in a fifth consecutive semifinal appearance. The team concluded the season with an 11-8 overall record, showcasing an impressive 7-2 run in conference play.

Ellie Esterowitz represented the Fords in Orlando at the NCAA Division III Singles Championships, marking Haverford's second consecutive representation at the event. She joins her classmate Abbey Russano, who qualified in 2022.

Notably, four Haverford players earned All-Centennial selections in the 2023 campaign. Esterowitz secured a first-team nod, while Mimi Lavin and Abbey Russano received second-team honors. Rachael Fitzgerald was named honorable mention and also earned a spot on the All-Sportsmanship team.

The Fords kick off the 2024 dual match season on March 2, heading to Allentown, Pa. to commence Centennial Conference play against the Mules of Muhlenberg. Following the conference showdown, women's tennis will head to sunny Florida the week of March 10 for the annual Spring Break Trip, with specific matchups to be announced at a later date.
