Season Review: Solid Year for Women's Indoor Track

Season Notes

The Haverford women's indoor track & field team finished sixth at the Centennial Conference Championship meet … Capping off a sensational indoor season, freshman Brittany Steele registered gold medal performances in the 60-meter dash and the 200 while also garnering first-team all-conference honors in both events. Making her first conference championships even more memorable, Steele established a new program record of 7.91 seconds in the 60 on the way to winning the race by one hundredths of a second. Steele came close to claiming another record in the 200 as her winning time of 26.51 ranks second in program history. Steele was named the women's outstanding rookie performer of the meet … Meriting honorable mention all-conference recognition, sophomore Nora Weathers finished third in the mile with a career-best time of 5 minutes, 8.89 seconds … The Fords hosted the 2014 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Gary Lutnick Tennis & Track Center on March 1-2 … Alexandra Ranucci was named to the conference's all-sportsmanship team.
