Season Notes: The Fords sent two runners to the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships for just the second time in program history (1997) … Nora Weathers was the third individual in program history to qualify for the NCAA indoor mile, joining teammate Katie Balmer (ninth in 2013) and Annick Lamar (fourth in 2008) … Kelley Riffenburgh was the third individual to qualify for the NCAA indoor 5,000 meters, joining Jen Maranzano' 94 (sixth in 1992, fourth in 1994) and Rachel Mosher '99 (fourth in 1998, fifth in 1999) … Riffenburgh broke Marazano's school record in the 5,000 meters during her first-place finish at the Centennial Conference Championship … The only other season in which Haverford sent two runners to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championship on the women's side came in the 1997 season when Meredith Unger '97 and Emily Dorean '97 both competed in the 1,500 meters … Haverford's score of 115 at the Centennial Conference Championship was its highest total since 2011 and the ninth-highest total in program history … Fran Rizzo was named the Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Coach of the Year for the second time in his career (2010) … Rizzo has also been named the Centennial Conference Coach of the Year in cross country three times (2009, 12, 13), and once during the outdoor track & field season (2013) … Haverford has finished first or second at the conference championship during 16 of the past 23 seasons … Riffenburgh's 5,000 meter individual title was the ninth time Haverford has won that event at the Centennial Conference Championships, the most of any school in conference history … The Fords scored 30 points among the four relays, tying them with Johns Hopkins for the most relay points from any school … The Fords 11 representatives on the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll was the second most among conference peers.

Looking ahead:

On top of the conference-best 30 points between the four relay teams, the Fords scored 85 points on individual performances at the Centennial Conference Championship. That total includes 26 points from the freshman class and 18 points from this year's sophomore class. NCAA Indoor Championship qualifier Nora Weathers headlines a junior class that will step into the senior leadership role. Of the eight All-Centennial Conference honors presented to Haverford from the meet, the Fords will defend six of these with returners to next year's team.
