HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College women's indoor track & field team got one last tune up for next weekend's Centennial Conference Championships with its hosting of the Keogh Invitational on Saturday. The Fords claimed four individual titles in their final meet before the conference championship.

Nora Weathers and Katie Sullivan swept the 800 meter and one mile titles. Weathers ran a personal-best time of 2:18.47 to move her up to sixth in the school's record books in the 800 meters. She beat out Swarthmore's Sarah Nielson by over two seconds for first place. Sullivan won the mile with a personal-best time of 5:05.67. That mark was three seconds faster than her closest competitor from Johns Hopkins and moves her up to seventh in the school rankings. Nicole Giannetti (5:16.20) and Maggie Heffernan (5:19.31) were fifth and sixth in the final mile standings.

The Fords' 4x200 meter relay team (Brittany Steele, Taylor Murphy, Kerry Quigley, and Tess Oberholtzer) won that event over Franklin & Marshall by nearly two seconds. The group's time of 1:48.51 is the eighth-fastest relay in school history. Claire Sargent won the shot put for the fifth time this season. She has won the event in four of the last five meets she entered. Today's best toss traveled 11.85 meters (38'10.5").

Haverford also had a runner-up finish from Murphy in the 60 meter hurdles. The Fords' freshman just missed her personal best by one-hundredth of a second. She was edged out by just three-hundredths of a second by the overall winner. Oberholtzer (10.22) finished seventh in that event. Also on the track, Sophie Drew (10:56.13) and MaryKate Cavanaugh (10:59.92) were among the top five runners in the 3,000 meters. Amy Zamora was the lone Haverford entrant in the 400 meters. She placed ninth overall with a time of 1:05.41.

Rounding out the field events, the Fords got a fourth place finish from Grace Mathis in the pole vault and a top 10 performance from Emily Williams in the long jump. Mathis cleared 2.65 meters, while Williams' best jump was 4.33 meters.

Women's indoor track & field can now turn its full attention to the Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. Haverford placed second at last year's championship. The 2016 edition will be hosted by Ursinus on Saturday, February 27 and Sunday, February 28.
