USTFCCCA All-Region release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College sophomore Jessica Lopez has been named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Mideast Region team for the indoor season. Lopez earns her first all-region accolade following her personal-best time of 26.26 seconds in the 200 meter dash.

Lopez set her newest PR in that event during a runner-up finish at the Centennial Conference Championships and now ranks third in school history all-time for that event. Her time was the fifth-fastest in the Mideast Region during the indoor season. Lopez also holds the second-best 60 meter dash time in school history as well as the fourth-longest triple jump.

Her second-place finish in the 200 meters was one of four events in which Lopez earned second-team All-Centennial Conference accolades during the conference championship this season. She also placed second in her other two signature events while helping the 4x200 relay also finish in the runner-up spot. Just two weeks ago, Lopez was named the Centennial Conference Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career after turning in what was at the time the fastest 60 meter dash time across the entire conference.

With the indoor season coming to a close for the women's team, the Fords now turn their sites toward the outdoor season which is set to get underway at Widener's Danny Curran Invitational. That meet is slated for Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30.
