HAVERFORD, Pa. -  The Haverford College women's indoor track & field team has been picked to finish fifth in the Centennial Conference, the conference office announced in a release on Wednesday morning.

The preseason poll has Johns Hopkins taking home the crown once again. The Blue Jays are coming off of their 12th consecutive women's indoor track and field title, and are poised to grab number 13 in the 2023-2024 season. Johns Hopkins collected 81 points and nine first-place votes. Dickinson was predicted to finish second with 73 points as well as the other first-place vote in the poll. Finishing third in 2022-2023, Swarthmore has been projected to finish third with 60 points, followed by Ursinus (55) in fourth, and Haverford (49) in fifth, to conclude the top five.

Gettysburg was picked sixth collecting 42 points, with Franklin & Marshall (7th place, 36 points) and Muhlenberg (8th place, 26 points) trailing behind. Bryn Mawr and McDaniel tied for 9th place grabbing 14 points each, to wrap up the poll.

The Fords are looking to make another leap this season, following a sixth place finish in the 2022-2023 campaign. One runner to watch out for the Scarlet and Black this season is Olivia D'Aulerio, who etched her name into record books last season. Inserting herself in the school's top ten for the 60 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 4x200-Meter Relay, and placing second in school-history in the 400 yard dash, the two-sport athlete set a new school record in the 300 meter dash with a time of 41.72, as well as earning a Centennial Conference Track Athlete of the Week award.

Haverford will head to Collegeville, Pa. for the season-opening meet on Friday, December 8th as the Fords head to the Bow Tie Meet on the campus of Ursinus. The race will kick-off at 3 p.m. Franklin & Marshall will be the site of the 2023-2024 Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships once again, with the two-day event taking place on February 24th and February 25th.
