STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - The Haverford College Women's Indoor Track and Field team took on a crowded field that consisted of several division I schools at the Fastrack Invitational Friday afternoon inside the Ocean Breeze Complex on Staten Island, N.Y.

Savannah Shaw had quite the day on Staten Island, as she was the lone competitor for the Scarlet and Black in the one mile run, where she absolutely crushed it. The sophomore completed the four-lap trek in 5:19.60 to earn 32nd place. Shaw beat her previous time of 5:30.10 achieved at the Frank Colden Invitational, by 10.5 seconds.

In the 60 meter dash, sophomore Olivia D'Aulerio raced to a 35th place finish with a blazing time of 8.20. First-year runner Nadine Tang completed the sprint in 8.48 to grab 51st place. Her first-year teammate Adriana Cruz-Soto darted to a time of 8.5, a new personal best, to secure 55th place.

History was rewritten yet again in the 200 meter dash, as D'Aulerio bolted to a time of 26.05, garnering 19th place and a new personal best. The rapid pace moves D'Aulerio up to number three all-time in school history in the 200 meters.

Just like D'Aulerio, Cruz-Soto returned to the rubber for the 200 meter dash, and placed 81st with a time of 28.15. Tang was the final Ford participant in the 200 meter, securing 89th place with a new personal best time of 28.33

The 3,000 meter run saw just two members of the Scarlet and Black compete, as Junior Krysta Nichols placed 47th with a time of 11:22.55, while teammate Julianna Watson finished 59th with a time of 11:39.87, in her 3000 meters debut.

Moving over to pole vault, senior Alice Creed cleared a distance of 2.90 m (9 feet,6.25 inches) to claim 15th place.

In the 800 meter, Isabel Thornberry led the way for Haverford, placing 23rd with a time of 2:20.78. The speedy time marks a new personal-record for Thornberry, beating her previous time by more than two seconds. Another new personal best was achieved in the race by Dominique Monroy, who beat her previous record by more than a second, crossing the finish line in 2:26.55, good for 52nd place. Sophomore Carly Priest finished the race  just behind Monroy in 74th place with a time of 2:33.20.

Jessie Hausman joined the PR party in the event as well, dashing to a time of 2:36.72 to grab 81st place. The impressive time for Hausman was six seconds better than her previous record in the 800 meter. Sophia Furman rounded out the Haverford contingent in the race, finishing in 92nd place with a time of 2:41.64.

Last but certainly not least, Haverford competed in the Distance Medley Relay, finishing in fifth place. The team of Monroy, D'Aulerio, Thornberry, and Shaw charged around the track and crossed the finish line in 12:56.74.

Next up for the Fords will be the second and final home meet of the season, as Haverford College Indoor Track and Field host the Keogh Invitational at 10:30 a.m.
