Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa.- Senior Isabel Thornberry of the Haverford College Indoor Track & Field team has been chosen Centennial Conference Women's Indoor Track athlete of the week, the league office announced this morning.

This past Saturday at the Keogh Invitational inside Alumni Field House, Thornberry took home first place in the 400 meters and was part of the winning 4x400 meter relay for the Fords.

In the 400, the Louisville, Colo. native darted to a personal-best time of 59.62 seconds, which now ranks fourth in Haverford history and third in the Centennial Conference this season. In the 4x400 meter team relay, the senior bolstered the team of herself, Olivia D'Auleiro, Anna Berry, and Jessie Hausman to another first place finish, with a scorching time of 4:16.36. 

The Fairview product has garnered personal records left and right this season, achieving new personal bests in the 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters, 4x200 meter relay, 4x400 meter relay, and the Distance Medley Relay.

Thornberry and the Scarlet and Black now set their sights on the Centennial Conference Championships on February 24 and February 25 at Franklin & Marshall.
