LANCASTER, Pa. - The Haverford College Women's Indoor Track & Field team finished sixth with 39.5 points at the Centennial Conference Championships Sunday  inside Schnader Field House on the campus of Franklin & Marshall. After ending day one of the championships in eighth place, five top-eight finishes helped the Fords leap two spots into sixth place at the end of competition.

Following a false start in the 400 meters at the 2023 Centennial Conference Championships, Olivia D'Aulerio had redemption on her mind in the 400 meter dash this season. D'Aulerio made the most of the opportunity Sunday, as she bolted to a new personal record time of 58.38 to take home the gold medal and add 10 more key points to the Fords' score. The blazing time also tied the Haverford record for fastest time in the 400 meters, obtained by Christina Neilson '11 who achieved the record in on February 26, 2011.

D'Aulerio did not compete alone in the 400 meters, as teammate Isabel Thornberry also competed in the distance. The senior crossed the finish line in 1:00.92 to take home ninth place.

After claiming first place in the 400 meters, D'Aulerio was the lone Haverford competitor in the 200 meter dash. The sophomore darted to a time of 26.21 to claim third place in the event, posting six more points on the scoreboard for the Scarlet and Black.

In the 800 meters, Savannah Shaw added two more points to the Haverford score, after racing to a time of 2:26.82 to grab seventh place. Her teammate Dominique Monroy finished just a few places  behind Shaw, securing 10th with a time of 2:28.48. Carly Priest finished 17th place in the event, after finishing with a new season best time of 2:32.95, and Jessie Hausman notched 19th place with a new personal best time of 2:34.90 to round out the Haverford contingent.

Krysta Nichols was the only Scarlet and Black representative in the 3,000 meters, as the junior completed the trek in 11:26.93, earning 22nd place.

At the high jump, junior Summer Ryan soared to a distance of 1.32 meters (4 feet, 4 inches) to obtain 11th.

Sarah Wilcher competed in the shot put. The sophomore launched the shot put 12.36 meters (40 feet, 6.75 inches) to garner fourth place, and add five more points to Haverford's total score. The stunning toss is a brand new personal record for Wilcher, as she stays in the number three spot for farthest shot put throw in school history.

Grace Hannigan returned to the sand for day two of the Centennial Conference Championships, after finishing in 11th place in the triple jump on day one. Competing in the long jump on day two, Hannigan once again achieved a new personal record, leaping a distance of 4.64 meters (15 feet, 2.75 inches) to place 16th.

To round out the day, the quartet of Thornberry, Anastasia Jaycobs, Anna Berry, and D'Aulerio rushed to a third place finish in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:09.6. After staying in fourth place for much of the race, a clutch anchor leg from D'Aulerio heleped the Fords sneak into third place in the final split. The speedy time of 4:09.6 is a new season best in the event.

Next up for the Haverford Women's Indoor Track & Field team, is the Tufts National Qualifying Meet in Medford, Mass. on March 2.  The meet will be the final chance for the Fords to qualify for the NCAA Championships held March 8 in Virginia Beach, Va.
