NEW ORLEANS - Haverford College sophomore Olivia D'Aulerio was named to the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Metro Region team for the 400 meters, the organization announced in a release on Tuesday.

All-Region designation is given to student-athletes who rank within the top five marks for an individual event, according to the final descending order list in their respective regions. Runners who are part of relays that finish within the top three in the region are also designated as All-Region athletes. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.

D'Aulerio ran a 57.96 at the Tufts National Qualifier last-chance meet in the Boston Area, surpassing her 58.38 from the conference championship weekend to set a new Haverford program record. The record previously belonged to Christina Neilson '11, who achieved a time of 58.38 on February 26, 2011. D'Aulerio briefly shared the mark with Neilson after clocking 58.38 at the Centennial Conference Championships en route to the gold medal and First-team all-conference designation in the 400 meters.

D'Aulerio's time was fourth in the Metro Region this season. This is the second overall All-Metro region designation for the Chesterfield, N.J., product as she was also named All-Metro region for her role in Haverford's 4x400-meter relay during the last outdoor season on the track.
